Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a method used to enhance the skin’s appearance on the face, hands or neck. A chemical solution is basically applied to the skin that exfoliates it and eventually causes it to peel off. The new, fresh skin is normally less wrinkled, smoother and softer as compared to the old one. People usually choose chemical peels to get rid of blemishes, acne scars, freckles, dryness, wrinkles, uneven skin pigmentation, and age spots, as well as improve the general texture of your face.

At Viauty, we make use of Ameson Mesopeel, which is a professional chemical peeling system for skin’s regeneration, softness, and brightness. This system involves a total of 4 stages: preparation, peeling, neutralization and regeneration, and is based on the following organic acids:

  • Mandelic Acid – This acid comes from the hydroxy acid family and is well-known for enhancing skin exfoliation and normalizing keratinization process. Mandelic Acid has a mild chemical peeling effect, which helps prevent irritations and makes it suitable for all skin types. Not only does it helps improve cellular remodeling, but also reduces skin discoloration and fights acne.
  • Glycolic Acid – This is an alpha hydroxy acid that is extracted from sugar cane, and known for its active anti-aging ingredients. Its small molecular structure allows for deep penetration into the skin cells.
  • Salicylic Acid – This is a beta hydroxy acid that is extracted from the willow tree bark, and works to enhance the exfoliation process, thereby eliminating superficial cells and revitalizing the skin. Plus, its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and astringent qualities control sebum production and oiliness in the skin.
  • Salicylic Azeliac – This is a mixture of salicylic and azelaic acids, the latter of which is derived from cereals and works great at fighting acne and discoloration caused by acne thanks to its anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and comedolytic effects.
