Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
During the treatment, short bursts of light are emitted via an applicator onto the skin. For treating acne, specific light wavelengths target bacteria present in the skin, along with inflamed sebaceous glands that lead to breakouts.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal is a long-term procedure for minimising hair growth. However, unlike laser treatments, which comprise of just one particular wavelength, IPL has multiple wavelengths that are absorbed within the skin.
The procedure is typically 30-minutes long and makes use of intense pulses of light that penetrate deep into the skin. IPL photo rejuvenation then causes blood vessels and collagen below the epidermis to constrict, thereby reducing age lines and redness.
